Tips to treat ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), refers to being inattentive and hyperactive, fail to concentrate on anything, commonly diagnosed in children about 2 to 16 school age children. ADHD is classified into,
  • Predominantly hyperactive,
  • Predominantly inattentive,
  • Combined both being hyperactive and inattentive.
The symptoms which helps you to decide whether it is ADHD or not,

For predominantly hyperactive, the symptoms are,
  • Can't able to sit in a place more than 2 minutes.
  • Moving around always.
  • Playing with everything around them.
For predominantly inattentive, the symptoms are,
  • Difficulty in concentration.
  • Feeling hatred.
  • Daydreaming.
  • Difficult to follow instruction.
  • Won't pay attention to others.
  • Frittered away by unusual thoughts.
Other symptoms are,

  • Irritation
  • Bipolar disorder.
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder.
Causes for ADHD:
It may be due to following factors,
  • Genetic factors (hereditary)
  • Alcohol and smoking of pregnant women increases the risk of ADHD in infants.
  • Torturing educational system and family problems.
  • Typical neurological development.
Treatment for ADHD:
  1. Behavior therapy, which refers to,
  • patients to do homework assignment without any distraction.
  • positive applause, rewards and not any punishments.
  • behavioral role play of how they should behave and how to do any action or performance.
  • studies and general knowledge in a play way method.
  • Relaxation techniques such as yoga and meditation will help them a lot.
    2.  Medication used along with behavior therapy, to stimulate central nervous system, some of drugs used are, and should not be used without any prescribtion from your doctor since they are highly risky and fatal,
  • Methylphenidate
  • Dexmethylphenidate.
  • Amphetamine.
  • Dextroamphetamine.
  • Lisdexamfetamine.
