Hypertension refers to high blood pressure. The normal systolic pressure when your heart beats and diastolic pressure when your heart rests should be in the range of 120/80 mmHg (millimeter of mercury). If it is not then it leads to,

1. High salt content in your body.

4. Smoking.
5. Kidney diseases.
6. Anxiety and stress.



Treatments:
There are two kinds, primary hypertension (due to aging, genes and other environmental factors) and secondary hypertension ( due to renal diseases and other endocrine conditions).

1. Low intake of salt content foods.
2. Have more number of natural fruits.

3. Prefer low fat products.
4. Exercise and reduce your weight to prevent obesity.

5. Medicine used to reduce blood pressure are alpha blockers, beta blockers, angiotension converting enzyme, angiotension receptor blockers, diuretics and renin inhibitors.
