Home Remedy for SUNKEN EYE !!!

Sunken eyes is a condition that occurs as we age. This condition is also referred to as having "dark circles" under the eyes. This condition is not generally serious, but it can be unsightly and embarrassing. Medical remedies for this condition include surgery, but several home remedies may help treat sunken eyes.

Food Treatments

Several foods which, when applied directly to the skin around the eye, may help soften the look of sunken eyes. Applying raw potato or cucumber to your eyes for 15 to 20 minutes is a good first step. Make sure to clean the area the food touched and moisturize with a cream. You may also juice a cucumber and lemon to apply juice around the area. Let the juice dry after applying, and wash any residue off of the skin. Apply these juices at least two times a day. Pineapple juice, mint and almond oil also may help clear up your sunken eye symptoms. Drinking at least 10 glasses of water will help keep you hydrated, as dehydration is one of the causes of sunken eyes.

Vitamins

Taking the right vitamins also may help get rid of those problematic dark circles. HomemadeMedicine.com reports that slow blood flow may be one cause of sunken eyes. It suggests taking vitamin K to help improve your blood flow or a combination of vitamin K and retinol. It also suggests taking niaciamide. This derivative of niacin has shown itself to be a good skin lightening agent. Apply this vitamin directly to your skin via a skin moisturizer or skin oil. Interestingly, they suggest decreasing your intake of vitamin A if you have sunken eyes. Vitamin A, while incredibly important, may cause the skin to darken, including darkness under your eyes. You should never cut vitamin A out of your diet altogether, but try to ingest less until your sunken eyes disappear.

Compresses

Ayurvedic cure suggests hot and cold compresses as a remedy for sunken eyes. Start by putting a hot compress on your eye for 10 minutes. Make sure it is hot without being scalding as this can cause skin damage. Remove and put a cold compress under your eyes for another 10 minutes. To make a cold compress, fill a plastic bag with water and drop ice cubes in the bag. Alternate between these two compresses for an hour, then let your eyes relax for two. Go through the process of alternating warm and cold compresses for another hour. Repeat this until you see changes or until you decide it isn't helping.

STAY FIT N HEALTHY !!!
