Steps for Home Facial
Cleaning the Skin
Clean the skin thoroughly using a cleanser. It can be an astringent
lotion or a mild face wash. If the skin is dry then it is better to use
crème or milk cleanser. It will leave the skin smooth and soft.
Exfoliating the skin
Take an exfoliating scrub and rub it in circular motion on the face.
Special care should be given for the places around the nose and forehead
as they tend to be greasy easily. After this, rinse the face well.
Steaming
- Fill a bowl or sink with steaming warm water, cover the face and the bowl with a towel so that the steam shouldn’t escape. Put your face in exposure to the steam. One can also dip cloth in the water and press it on the face. Repeat it for 2-3 times. This will open up the pores of the skin and remove the remaining speck of dirt from it.
Putting the mask
Prepare the mask and apply it evenly over the face. If the skin is dry
then, use a clay based mask and for dry skin a hydrating gel or a crème
based mask can be used. One can also make a mask with fruit juices, egg
white and yolk, vegetable pastes or the paste of their peels. This
should be done according to the type of the skin. Apply the mask,
avoiding the areas around the eyes and keep for 10-20 minutes and then
rinse off.
Moisturizing
Moisturize the skin and keep it hydrated. Avoid moisturizers consisting retinols or acids
